What are the TPMS requirements?

From November 2014, all registered vehicles must be equipped with a direct or indirect TPMS, and vehicles that do not comply with this obligation would not get any homologation or registration in the EU Member States. According to UE laws, the TPMS must have the following characteristics:
In the event of a single tire pressure loss of 20% less than the working pressure, the TPMS must issue an alert within 10 minutes.
In the event of an immediate or gradual loss of pressure of all four tires of 20% less than the working pressure, the TPMS must issue a warning within 10 minutes.
It must detect a loss of tire pressure at a speed between 40 km / h and the maximum power of the vehicle.
It must have a data transfer at a frequency of 433 MHz.
